In 1952 the Austrian mountaineer legend Hermann Buhl was the first to climb the north east face of the Piz Badile solo, and he travelled there and back by bicycle!
In 2012, the young Austrian top climber Hansjörg Auer follows the traces of Hermann Buhl on his mountain bike and repeats the first solo climb through the northeast face of the Badile. The film accompanies Hansjörg Auer on his climb and at the same time presents the history of the Badile north east face and the biography of Hermann Buhl, with all its lights and shadows.
