The Triglav and its 1,500m high north face are the stars of the documentary’s powerful pictures. The Slovenian Marko Prezelj and the South Tyrolean Hanspeter Eisendle, two of the most outstanding alpinists of our time, set off to repeat the legendary “Sphynx” on the same route as the first climbers. However, the land around this mighty lime rock has much more to offer. Marko invites Hanspeter to an expedition around the Triglav, showing him also the So?a, one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, and explains to him the sombre past of the region.
