For thousands of years, the San, the bushmen in Namibia, have lived as hunters and collectors, in harmony with the breath-taking, but often dangerous nature. Many of their old myths and legends recall from a primeval time, when the souls of men and animals have not yet been separated. Lions have always played an important role in their traditional stories. However, since many San have been living in villages and own cattle, the conflicts with the predator cats increase. This is also the case in Doupost, a small village in the north east of Namibia. When, once again, some lions threaten the village, the oldest men set off on a journey to their own past.
