Lake Kirchsee is a moor lake born in the last Ice Age. The lake is embedded in a primeval landscape, and the surrounding low-level moors are a strictly protected conservation area where one is not allowed to enter almost throughout the year. The animal and nature filmmaker Thomas Dammer is a resident, and he is allowed to explore the moor and its inhabitants throughout one year. There is a lot to discover. His pictures enable us to experience this protected area, which usually is left to its own resources.
