The chamois are living since more than 10.000 years amongst other inhabitants of the arctic nature in the Tatra Mountains. In this alpine environment, which is covered in snow for more than a half of the year, a man is still just an occasional guest. Thanks to this, Tatras are still the unique island of wildlife as they have always been.
