Without any doubt, Hans Kammerlander is probably one of the most successful extreme mountaineers of the last 40 years. However, despite magnificent alpine achievements, he also had to cope with many severe blows, both on the mountain and in the valley. Several times he narrowly escaped death. Today, he looks back on around fifty first ascents, the ascents of almost all eight thousanders , and an eventful private life.
