West Siberia offers few opportunities for climbers, because swamps, Taiga and vast landscapes mark this area. However, there is one exception: near the city of Kemerowo, the 16-year old climber Kirikov Dobrynja ascends in a controlled manner the vertical rock face of the “Mirror”. This rock wall has been explored by rope climbers since the 1990s, but even nowadays there is still space for new routes. In June 2020, the time has come for Dobrynja, when he attempts the first ascent of “New Wave”.
