Wolves in Germany? In autumn 2000, wolf pups were seen again in Saxony for the first time. 150 years after the predators were exterminated, there is a new wolf family again! From the very beginning, the resettlement had been shaped by two wolf sisters, by “Sunny” and “Einauge”. In the meanwhile, their offspring have formed further packs and found their own territories in many parts of Germany. That is why the story of the return and spread of the predators can be told as a great family saga full of quarrels and tenderness, of bloody conflicts and tragic secrets. The authors reconstruct this wolf saga with historic images of the first wolves and spectacular new observations.
