After long grey winter months, what could be more alluring than accompanying springtime across a whole continent? The raw beauty of the alpine springtime is a contrast to Germany’s floral landscapes. Up in the mountains the grass frogs have to master huge snow fields, whereas the German orchards are lost in a sea of blossom. The journey continues to the north. The Baltic Sea, the harsh Norwegian coast, but also the tundra and the taiga offer many surprises. Ruffs present themselves in their magnificent plumage, also marmots, boars, dancing cranes, reindeers, puffins and bears exhibit. In every region, springtime is different: sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet, but always fascinating.
