This film explores the contrary world of the Ötz Valley and its inhabitants, such as the turbulent village Sölden and the tranquil village Ötz. There, the two sisters Margit and Maria have been doing their cooking for 50 years in their guesthouse “Gasthof zum Stern” which exists since the 16th century. The camera witnesses when the Austrian pop star DJ Ötzi once again visits his grandmother Ella. She discloses the secret of his trademark. Also the young painter Hannah Scheiber is inspired by the contrary worlds of her home valley. The film presents numerous life stories in an alpine valley between tradition and tourism, in front of a magic mountain backdrop.
