Lenz is on his way to the mountains, where, at first, he is overwhelmed by summits and high mountain plateaus. Soon, however, this mania gives way to a deep depression, he feels deeply lonely seeing such a stupefying wideness. This short film is based on the synonymous tale by Georg Büchner. However, is it only Lenz or is it all of us, who get lost in front of the endless vastness and confronted with the insignificance of our being in the eternity and wildness of the mountain universe?
