An Italo-American researcher team extracts ice core samples from the glacier summit of the Ortler in South Tyrol. Prof. Thompson who has already taken ice samples from all continents and analysed all climate archives of the Earth’s History, talks to the filmmaker while shipping his 6 tons heavy equipment. The scientist explains in an impressive way his fundamental conclusions resulting from his 40 years long experience in worldwide climate research.
