Since his early childhood, Rudolf, who is in the meantime 75 years old, has been attracted by the solitude in nature. In the remote Alaska, he has established his second life, he has built a lodge and become friends with bears. Year by year he has captured pictures of his sojourns in the northern wilderness with his camera, and has collected more than 100 hours of raw material. Even now, he has difficulties in bringing his life in Alaska into harmony with his family and his life in Germany.
