The Lechtaler Alps end in the west on the famous Arlberg, the cradle of alpine skiing. In the very heart of this wild and cragged mountain massif there rules silence in the winter. Only a few ski mountaineers are on their way. The traverse of all mountains demands highest mountaineering skills and is regarded as a king’s tour. The mountain guide Dieter Elsner knows this area like no one else, the hidden passes, the avalanche slopes, the alternative routes, the different bases. When he sets off for this five day long adventure together with his daughter, the two have to accept that even experts cannot enforce anything in the mountains.
