Once upon a time, more than 10,000 animal species lived in and relied on meadows in Austria. Fast forward to now and this diversity of species is only found in just two percent of meadowland. "Geheimnisvolle Wiesenwelt" follows nature filmmaker Waltraud Paschinger and cameraman Franz Posch as they search for the remaining unspoilt meadows in Styria. This documentary explores the magical, hidden and threatened life of protected meadowland and uses exciting and unprecedented footage to underline the importance of having a diversity of species.
