The north faces of Grosser Zinne, Piz Badile, Matterhorn, Eiger, Petit Dru and Grandes Jorasses are considered the six giants of the Alps. Roger Schäli from Switzerland and Simon Gietl from South Tyrol are climbers who share a dream – to complete a nonstop climb of these iconic faces and cover the distances between the summits under their own steam. When they set off one cool autumn morning, they are facing a seemingly impossible undertaking: 1100 km of distance, 30,770 metres of ascent and 29,470 metres of descent, which they intend to cover by bike, on foot, on ropes and by paraglider. This is a unique mountain trip, even for this experienced and exceptionally skilled pair.
