Coral reefs are among the most species-rich ecosystems on our planet and among those most threatened by global warming. On the Caribbean island of Curacao, two biologists are testing a new scientific approach to make corals more resilient for the future. Their aim is to strengthen the cnidarians’ reproductive capabilities right from the start. After many failed attempts and numerous hurdles to overcome, they finally succeed in developing a method that gives reason for hope.
