One hundred years on from the first Everest expedition, the film explores the history of the expeditions in 1921, 1922 and 1924. Julie Summers, the grandniece of Sandy Irvine (who vanished along with George Mallory on their 1924 summit attempt), guides us through events with contributions from many distinguished climbers who are members of the Alpine Club. The film brings the past into the present using John Noel's original film, along with many images from the Alpine Club Collection and footage of Noel Odell's last sighting of Mallory and Irvine.
